The tenth edition of the event will take place on Sunday, March 30 with three distances (19K – 11K – 5K) suitable for all types of runners

 The LPA Kids will again have a special role for families with children between 0 and 12 years old

The LPA Trail will repeat the format of three distances and two children’s races that was so successful in the last edition, which reached the figure of 1,000 participants. The registration period for this edition opens this Wednesday, December 18 on the official website www.lpatrail.com. The race, which stands out for combining in a unique way the asphalt of the city and the multiple terrains of the mountain, presents as main novelty the route of its long race, which this time will have the starting line in the historic center of Santa Brígida. In addition, the short distance of 5 kilometers passes the location of its departure to the neighborhood of Lomo Verdejo.

The LPA Larga will have 18.8 kilometers and 178 meters of positive elevation gain. The race will start in the aforementioned village of Santa Lucia and will cross the Barranco del Colegio to Maipez, to face the final kilometers through the Guiniguada to the finish line located in the mythical Plaza de Santa Ana in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. For its part, the LPA Media will have a route of 11.4 kilometers with 145 meters of positive elevation gain, starting at the soccer field of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and finishing at the Plaza de Santa Ana. An emblematic route through the greenest landscapes of the capital of Gran Canaria. This modality will once again include training categories to encourage the practice of sports among teenagers. Therefore, runners in the youth category (17-18 years old) will be able to participate in this race.

The race will also feature the 5 km LPA Corta, the ideal scenario for runners and runners new to trail running. The shortest race will have its starting line in Lomo Verdejo, sharing part of the route with the other two distances until the long-awaited finish line in the Plaza de Santa Ana. This modality will also be open to athletes in the children’s (13-14 years old) and cadet (15-16 years old) categories, as well as boys and girls over 8 years old accompanied by an adult. March 30 will be a day of sport for all ages and all members of the family.

In addition, for the third consecutive year, the LPA Kids will allow to live a playful and sporting day in the surroundings of the Plaza de Santa Ana. A historic enclave of the capital that will feature two races for children aged 0 to 7 years (200 meters) and 8 to 12 (500 meters), which will delight the little ones through the old town. A priority for both Arista Eventos and the Municipal Institute for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Sport of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is to promote sport from an early age with a race like LPA Trail.
